VALHALLA – The SUNY Orange baseball team was defeated by Westchester Community College in the first round of the Region XV playoffs, falling 8-0.

Westchester took the lead in the second inning, scoring two runs. The Vikings extended their advantage in the fourth inning with two more runs to make it 4-0. Westchester added another two runs in the fifth inning and scored twice again in the sixth to secure the 8-0 victory.

Garrett Srednicki got the start for the Colts, facing 21 batters while allowing three earned runs and recording five strikeouts. Gavin Rounds made an appearance in relief, facing 14 batters, allowing two earned runs, and adding two strikeouts.
