Fathers Honored at Dad Take Your Child to School Day

MOUNT VERNON – Father, father figures and role models alike spent Thursday morning at Benjamin Turner Academy to experience their loved ones’ daily school routine and academic studies. Opportunities such as this offer families the chance to support their child’s learning and build stronger connections.

The morning began with a breakfast hosted by the Parent Teacher Association, encouraging parents to get involved and support various initiatives throughout the school year. More than ten parents signed up to join the organization during the event.

Throughout the day, visitors participated in a trivia game about their children and scavenger hunts to familiarize themselves with the school.

Benjamin Turner Academy has another opportunity for families to get a glimpse of the school on Thursday, September 17 from 5 – 7 p.m. during back to school night.
