Mount Soccer Stunned by Mount Saint Vincent

NEWBURGH – The Mount Saint Mary College women’s soccer team was stunned by Mount Saint Vincent at home.

Mount Saint Mary took on Mount Saint Vincent at home, looking to avenge last season’s Skyline Conference Semifinal loss.

The Dolphins, however, struck early, finding the back of the net in the fourth minute. The Knights created opportunities offensively throughout the opening half, but Mount Saint Vincent continued to pressure the Mount defense and added three more goals to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.

The Knights looked to regroup in the second half, but the Dolphins continued to find openings and added three more goals over the final 45 minutes. Mount Saint Vincent ultimately handed the Knights a 7-0 setback. Elizabeth Lennane made six saves in the Mount goal.
