NEWBURGH – The New Year looks bright for the Orange County Choppers (OCC). Their Hit Show is being brought back on the Discovery Channel, and they were presented with a Proclamation from The New York State Assembly, all at their Gala on New Years Eve.

New Years Eve was rung in with style at Orange County Choppers with a party and dancing with” Soul City” performing a great array of Motown and Watt/Staxx soul classics as well as other current hits.

“Soul City” has been refereed to as The Number one Soul Band in the Hudson Valley by Bob Miller of WBPM Radio. The group often imitated but never duplicated.

The presentation of the New York State Proclamation at the Orange County Choppers Cafe was preceded by a tour of the facility which included the state of the art arcade, bowling ally and Orange County Choppers store with display’s of customized bikes.

New York State Assemblyman Frank Skartados (D-100) who presented to Orange County Choppers  a proclamation lauding the OCC Group for their achievements of “custom manufacturing motorcycles, entertainment and tourism that has contributed to the Hudson Valley that makes it the gem of the region.”

Orange County Choppers is a world famous custom motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1999 by Paul Teutul Sr. at their facility based in Newburgh.

Paul Teutul, Sr. and his team of custom fabricators design, engineer and manufacture unique  choppers. OCC bikes are built around a theme  for a broad spectrum of motorcycle enthusiasts around the world. Their brand hit the mainstream when a Discovery Channel reality series “American Choppers” brought them into the spotlight, which debuted in September 2002.

A much anticipated return to the Discovery Channel will be in early 2018.

Founder Paul Teutul Sr. has appeared on numerous T.V. shows including the “Celebrity Apprentice” Jay Leno, David Letterman, Larry King Show, “Good Morning America’ Jimmy Kimmel, and many others. Paul Sr.’s tough guy image is contradicted by his tireless involvement with various charities (HVSPCA, Make-Wish, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and Boy’s and Girls Clubs of America).

Paul Sr. and OCC have built bikes for his clients and had guest appearances for his clients Steven Tyler, Donald Trump, Mohammad Ali, Bill Murray, Shaquille O’Neal, Nicholas Cage, Billy Joel, Will Smith, Russell Crowe, Michael Strahan, Mark Buerhle, and Jay Leno.
