MOUNTAINVILLE - “Six Band; Six Genres; Six Sculptures”, a flagship collaboration between Ferry Godmother Productions and Storm King Art Center was nothing less than spectacular. Spread out amongst 500 beautiful acres, families and friends flocked to a full day of music from six different stages strategically placed near a magnificent sculpture. The thousands of attendees were from across the Hudson Valley, New York City, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington DC, and as far as Washington State. Six Band; Six Genres; Six Sculptures kicked off with Chiku Awali African Drumming and Dancing, a non-profit organization based in Spring Valley NY. Each stage showcased jazz, country, Latin & world, swing, rock & roll and oldies. Performing was Tyrone Birkett Emancipation, Gabriele Tranchina with 7x Grammy nominee Bobby Sanabria, Crazy Feet Pete, Hillbillies Parade, Gordon Michaels and XCalibur Band. Throughout the day there were music workshops which encouraged attendee participation. The day concluded under the big top with the main stage featuring two headliners, international performing jazz vocalist TAEKO and renowned vocalist and saxophone player Camille Thurman. Ferry Godmother Productions Executive Producer and creator of the event Aquanetta FerryGodmother Wright said “I am so ecstatic about the success of the Six Band; Six Genres; Six Sculptures“. “In the tradition of all Ferry Godmother events, it brought a diverse group of music lovers to enjoy world class music at the incredible Storm King Art Center and the hard-work and professional staff at Storm King is amazing to work with”, continued the Ferry Godmother.

NEWBURGH - Bishop Dunn Memorial School (“BDMS”) Drama Club is pleased to announce that it’s’ 21st production will be Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” which will be staged at the magnificent Aquinas Hall Theater, located at Mount Saint Mary College, 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, said BDMS Principal Ronald DePace.
