Michael Isgur Wants to Be Orange County DA

Michael Isgur, the Democratic candidate for Orange County District Attorney, has lived and practiced law in the county for over twenty years.  Mr. Isgur is a graduate of the UC Berkeley school of law and has a successful criminal defense practice based in the Town of Crawford.  Now he wants to bring the expertise he has developed in the field of criminal law to the service of the people of Orange County.   He will make the District Attorney’s office more efficient and effective, ensure that everyone is treated equally by the office regardless of race, religion, wealth, or political connections, and bring law enforcement and our local communities together to create a safer Orange County.

Mr. Isgur believes the greatest challenge facing us at this time is the epidemic of drug use we are seeing in every part of the county. He has been the primary attorney representing defendants in the Middletown City Drug Court for the last ten years and this experience has given him a deep understanding of the problem and the challenges we face.   Isgur said, “The old approaches to this problem are not working and it’s time for new solutions, treating drug addiction as the disease it is and focusing more of our efforts on education, prevention, and treatment.  This is the approach that has been proven to be more effective and to produce better long term results for both addicts and the communities they live in.”
Asked why people should vote for him this November, Isgur said, “My opponent has been the district attorney for four years.  Ask yourself if you feel safer than you did four years ago, if you think crime has been controlled as it should be, and cast your vote accordingly.”
