Beacon Players Present Cinderella, Nov. 17-19th

BEACON – Do you believe in magic? On November 17th, 18th, and 19th, prepare to be enchanted as the Beacon Players present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, a new Broadway adaptation of the classical musical that keeps audiences guessing with surprising twists.

Directed by Anthony Scarrone with student choreography, the timeless tale of transformation features Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside a lively libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter. Fabulous singing and dancing, an inspired orchestra, and whimsical sets will transport audiences from Cinderella’s “own little corner” to the royal family’s spectacular ballrom with the wave of a wand. Show-stopping ball gowns designed to catch a prince’s eye will also delight—while reflecting the talents of the formidable student costume crew.

At noon, before the performances of the 18th and 19th, the Beacon Players will be holding a Princess Luncheon. There will be visits from princesses, oh-so-lovely food, and perhaps an appearance from Cinderella herself. Space for the lunch is limited, with only about 50 tickets available for each day. Tickets for the luncheon are available and sold separately from show tickets. Both are available for purchase at http://www.beaconplayers.com or at the box office at Beacon High School every Saturday morning from 9-11:30 and Wednesday evening 6:30-8:30.
