UTICA – The Mount Saint Mary College Men’s Track and Field team returned to action on Saturday as the Knights traveled to Utica to take part in the Utica Invitational. Junior Dabein Walker finished third in the High Jump at 1.88 meters for the Knights.
Walker completed his strong day with a fifth place finish in the Long Jump at 6.39 meters. Kenneth Barrett was the top finisher for the Mount in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:12.08 while Nick Murphy finished the 60 meter dash in 7.63 seconds. Murphy was also the top finisher in the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.96 seconds.
Carl Magliulo was the Mount’s best finisher at 10.12 meters in the weight throw and the shot put at 10.69 meters. Kameron Grimm finished just behind Magliulo in the weight throw at 9.81 meters.
Chris Grady completed the 1 mile run in 5:23.92 for the Knights while the distance medley relay of William Madden, Edward Arnold, Janrell Baniel and Grady finished in 12:31.47.
RPI took home the victory in the meet with 133 points while the Mount finished with 16 total points.
The Knights will return to action this weekend at Utica for the second straight week
