Newburgh Has Returned to In-Person Meetings

NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh is pleased to announce its resumption of pre-pandemic methods of public meeting conduction.

Effective immediately, all public meetings of City of Newburgh boards, commissions, and committees, previously conducted virtually, will resume in-person. This follows the rescission of the State of Emergency Pandemic Executive Orders, including the suspension of New York State Open Meetings Law.

All City of Newburgh Council Work Sessions and Regular meetings scheduled after June 24, 2021, will be held in-person only, at the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550. A live-stream of the Work Sessions and Regular meetings will be available via the City’s website and Facebook page for viewing purposes only.
Furthermore, all City of Newburgh Land Use Board meetings scheduled after June 24, 2021, will also be held in-person only, at The Activity Center – 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. Additional meeting locations for boards, committees and commissions will be updated via the city website.

Members of the public who wish to speak during public comment periods or public hearing periods must attend meetings in person. Individuals joining public meetings in person will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their attendance.
