Raptors Cruise Past Pratt in Home Opener

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON – The Bard College women’s basketball team defeated Pratt Institute, 71-45, in a non-league game on Sunday afternoon.

Bard’s home opener produced a bunch of career highs:

Thalia Grandinetti scored a career high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting and added nine rebounds;

Shirley Dong scored a career-high 11 points, to go with a career-high 13 assists, and her career-high eight rebounds left her two shy of a triple-double; the 13 assists matches the program record for assists in a game;

Maggy Peyton grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, to go with nine points, which matched her career high.

Mae Redmond contributed 15 points (4-of-9 from distance) and five rebounds for the Raptors. Emily Peck scored four points off the bench, Jade Dinkins added two points and four rebounds, and Alleisha Romain chipped in with two points, three rebounds and a steal.

The Raptors next play on Nov. 30, at home against SUNY Canton.
