African American History Month Art Project

By Ms. McCarthy

NEWBURGH – Students in Ms. McCarthy’s Art Class at Heritage Middle School are celebrating February with an African American History Month Art Project. Students worked with Adinkra Stamps from West African Cultures and created patterns that have symbolic meaning. The fabric created reflects the community among the students. Some of the fabric will be used in Ms. Clina’s rendition of The Lion King that will be performed on April 29th and 29th.
