POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Saint Peter’s on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Foxes and the Peacocks battled back-and-forth throughout the first set. The away team ultimately secured the first set thanks to a kill from Sasha van der Merwe.
The next set was also highly competitive with the Peacocks holding the lead until the Red Foxes went on a six-point streak to make the score 18-15.
Marist went on to win the set 25-22 thanks to a Saint Peter’s service error.
The third set again saw the Peacocks take an early lead, with the Red Foxes trailing until a kill from Morgan Munro tied the set at 17-17.
The Red Foxes walked away victorious from the set and match thanks to a Peacocks service error.
