Marist Volleyball Falls Short Against Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Marist volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by Rider on Saturday afternoon.

Taylor Miller recorded a career-high 23 kills in the loss.

Jamison White collected 41 assists

Katherine Thompson tallied a season-high 19 digs.

Set One 25-20 Rider
Rider took early control of the set, leading to a 10-5 lead for the Broncs. Despite this the Red Foxes would eventually battle to a 21-20 scoreline in favor of Rider.

The Broncs would eventually take the set, 25-20.

Set Two 30-28 Rider
Both teams would battle back and forth throughout the early stages of the second set. The

Red Foxes would go on to retain control for most of the remainder of the frame.

However at the very end of the set, the Broncs would eventually go on to push the scoreline past 25 and ultimately take the set 30-28.

Set Three 25-23 Marist
The closest set o the entire match, the scoreline did not extend past two points for the entire duration of the set.

Only by taking three of the final four points did the Red Foxes secure the third frame 25-23.

Set Four 25-17 Rider
The Broncs would take early control of the fourth frame, with the score at 7-2. The Red Foxes were unable to wrestle back control from the Broncs and would struggle to keep up with the pace of the home team’s scoring.

The Broncs would eventually take the set 25-17 and the match 3-1.
