School Students Enjoy STEM Adventure

Ulster BOCES Aviation/Drone students Sean Sasso, Saugerties Central School District (l); Daiven Leath, Highland Central School District (center); and Connor Bruschi, Wallkill Central School District (r); proudly display the first place medals they won in the Federal Aviation Administration STEM Aviation and Space Education Airport Design Challenge. The trio was part of a team of five dubbed the “Straw Hat Pilots,” and competed against more than 3,000 students from 50 states and 18 different countries.
