On Saturday afternoon, Lakisha Atkins and her family officially became Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh homeowners. Their 25 Johnson Street residence is the culmination of a long, dedicated journey, filled with support, love and inspiration, along with the lumber of the 2017 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, adding to the specialness of the day during this holiday season.

Orange County hosted a Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, December 15th at the County’s Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Approximately 3,000 wreaths were laid during the ceremony by 200 volunteers.

Students from Mount Saint Mary College’s campus ministry program delivered more than 700 toys to Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. The toys were donated by students, staff, and faculty and will be distributed to children in need throughout Catholic Charities’ service area.
