Friday evening the City of Newburgh’s San Miguel Academy awarded diplomas to 14 eighth graders at the school’s 14th Annual Commencement Exercises. Pictured above are graduates with dignitaries, community members, faculty, staff and proud alumnus who returned for the celebratory occasion, who will now move on to an assortment of high schools- both public and private, pursuing their education and dreams.

Sunday, at the City Winery in Montgomery, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. officially chartered a new chapter- Alpha Gamma Eta Omega- in Orange County- now making 157 in this region. With 27 charter members, the new chapter proudly adds to the 355,000 members globally.
